M13 project of BMW Brilliance Automotive Ltd. (BBA) – As BBA’s first domestic independently implemented project, the side wall line, door and closure line, framing line were undertook by DLAT. The project was designed with the productivity of 1 JPH, with 50 sets of tooling, 4 robots, 61 welding guns and 4 spreaders. Automatic manufacturing was adopted in the repair welding and robot hemming/gluing of the side wall line and framing line, which saved the cost and met the quality control requirements. Through precise planning and designing, the rate of tooling and equipments utilization in the manual station has been maximally achieved with the premise that the productivity and technical specification were strictly followed. In particular, the utilization of BOSCH self adaptive welding controller realized the welding for multiple units of parameters with single welding gun, which decreased the cost for purchaser.
